For Christians in Israel and Jerusalem, intolerance is becoming normal

Incidents of abuse, assault, and intimidation against Christians in Israel and East Jerusalem have increased, with many low-level incidents such as spitting, insults, and graffiti becoming a daily experience for the community. Christians in the area, mostly Palestinian, face attacks for practicing their faith, with nearly half of those under 30 considering leaving. Israeli officials have condemned recent attacks, including one on a French nun, and arrested a man involved. However, trust in the Israeli state remains thin, with many incidents going unreported.
