French police confirm death of missing 11-year-old Lyhanna

A body was discovered in a grain silo near Toulouse, which has been formally identified as that of an 11-year-old girl who went missing for a week. The girl was last seen getting into a man's car outside her middle school in Fleurance. A 41-year-old man, the father of a school friend, is in custody and suspected of being involved in her disappearance. He had previously faced complaints and investigations for the rape of minors, some of which were dropped or allowed to lapse
