The All India Trinamool Congress's defeat in West Bengal reflects a deep organisational collapse. The party's once-robust organisational core has weakened, with a steady erosion of its middle order, which historically converted Mamata Banerjee's mass appeal into booth-level control. The BJP's vote share rose sharply, from 38 per cent in 2021 to around 45 per cent, while the TMC's declined to nearly 40.94 per cent. The TMC's tally fell from 215 to 80 seats, as the BJP surged from 77 to 206 seats.
