Govt to raise export duty on petrol, cuts levy on diesel and aviation fuel from May 16 onwards

The government has raised the export duty on petrol and reduced levies on diesel and aviation fuel. The duty on exports of petrol has been raised to ₹3 per litre, while the duty on export of diesel has been reduced to ₹23 per litre and aviation turbine fuel to an unspecified amount. These changes are effective from May 16 onwards, following a recent increase in retail fuel prices.
