Gunmen kidnap 23 children from Nigerian orphanage

Gunmen have raided an orphanage in Lokoja, Kogi State, and kidnapped at least 23 children, including the wife of the proprietor. Authorities report that 15 children have been rescued, but eight are still missing. The orphanage was operating illegally in a remote location without the knowledge of relevant authorities and security agencies. Intensive operations are ongoing to secure the safe return of the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators.
