Hyderabad: Man beaten in Ghatkesar after mistaken identity over ‘Nepali gang’ suspicion

A man was allegedly assaulted by locals in Ghatkesar after they mistook him for a member of a "Nepali gang". He was later identified as a labourer from Assam and found to be working as a helper with a leading firm. Preliminary investigation ruled out any criminal involvement and the police identified him after an inquiry. The incident took place in Sai Teja Colony at Yamnampet under the limits of Pocharam IT Corridor police station.
