Hyderabad: Newborn allegedly sold for Rs 1.7 lakh; infant rescued and placed under CWC care

A newborn boy allegedly sold for Rs 1.70 lakh was rescued and placed under Child Welfare Committee care. Police have launched an investigation into the roles of the biological parents, prospective adoptive parents and middlemen involved.
