IAF’s Sirsa unit fired Barak-8 last May to intercept Pak missile possibly aimed at Delhi

An IAF unit based in Haryana successfully intercepted and destroyed a Pakistani ballistic missile over Sirsa airspace with their Barak-8 missile system. The missile may have had Delhi as its target. Security forces retrieved parts of the missile from Sirsa, averting a major attack and showcasing the effectiveness of India's integrated air defence network. The incident occurred during last year's Indo-Pak conflict.
