'If we sleep they bite': Rats and weasels infest camps for displaced Gazans

Displaced families in the Gaza Strip are facing a public health crisis due to infestations of rats and urban weasels. Rodents are frequently visible in 80% of sites where displaced families are living, affecting many people. The infestations can cause respiratory and skin diseases, blood infections, and food poisoning through bites, scratches, urine, droppings, and fleas. Aid workers are calling for urgent steps to address sanitation needs and prevent the spread of diseases.
