India, UAE sign pacts on LPG, strategic oil reserves to cushion US-Iran war impact

India and the UAE have signed pacts to cushion the impact of the US-Iran war on the global energy market. A deal for the supply of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) was signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE. India, the world's second largest LPG importer, aims to ensure a stable supply during global tensions. The countries also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on strategic petroleum reserves and agreements on defence partnership and a ship repair cluster in Gujarat.
