India-Russia ties ‘more valuable’ amid volatile global environment: EAM Jaishankar

India and Russia's political cooperation has become more valuable in a volatile global environment. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said this at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in New Delhi. The two leaders discussed various aspects of their bilateral strategic partnership, including trade, investment, energy, and connectivity. Jaishankar emphasized the importance of derisking and diversification, while Lavrov noted that bilateral trade is currently worth almost $60 billion and expressed confidence in achieving the goal of increasing it to $100 billion by 2030.
