IPL 2026 betting scandal explodes in Punjab; ₹42 Lakh freeze, Dubai link exposed

Punjab police have exposed a massive money racket linked to illegal betting during the TATA Indian Premier League. Earlier, similar cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh and Telangana, where police arrested individuals and seized cash and smartphones used for betting transactions. Khanna police have now frozen bank accounts holding around ₹42.3 lakh suspected to have been earned through illegal betting, and are investigating cross-border links into the IPL betting scam.
