IPL 2026: Nitish Rana fined for arguing with umpire; Ruturaj Gaikwad penalised for slow over-rate

Delhi Capitals batter Nitish Rana has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for an altercation with the fourth umpire during an Indian Premier League match. Rana confronted the umpire after Tristan Stubbs was denied a glove change due to heavy perspiration in Chennai's humidity. Rana was also handed a demerit point for breaching the IPL's Code of Conduct. He admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee's sanction.
