Iranian Nobel laureate Narges Mohammadi hospitalised as health deteriorates

Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi has been transferred from prison to a hospital due to a sharp decline in her health. She had two episodes of complete loss of consciousness and a severe cardiac crisis. Prison doctors determined her condition could not be managed on-site, prompting the transfer. Mohammadi has been imprisoned since December and was sentenced to over seven years in prison for charges including gathering and collusion to commit crimes.
