Israeli troops begin intercepting vessels from a flotilla trying to breach the Gaza blockade

Activists and humanitarian aid on boats belonging to the Global Sumud Flotilla depart from the port of Marmaris, Turkey, in an attempt to break the Israeli naval blockade. The flotilla, consisting of over 50 vessels, departed from Marmaris last week and is currently off the coast of Cyprus. Israeli troops have begun intercepting the boats, with some activists being boarded and their livestream abruptly ending. The Israeli Foreign Ministry had previously called on the activists to change course and turn back.
