Israeli 'violations' of Temple Mount spark backlash from Muslim, Arab states

Eight Arab and Muslim-majority countries have condemned Israel's actions at Jerusalem's holy sites, calling them "provocations" and violations of international law. The countries, in a joint statement, highlighted repeated incursions by Israeli settlers and extremist ministers into al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the raising of the Israeli flag within its courtyards. They stressed the importance of preserving the status quo and denounced illegal settlement activity and settler violence against Palestinians.
