Israel's Defense Ministry detonates 700 landmines near Syrian border

Israel's Defense Ministry, through the Israel National Mine Action Authority (INMAA), has cleared landmines near the Syrian border. The ministry detonated 700 landmines, continuing efforts to reclaim mined areas for civilian and industrial purposes. INMAA has cleared over 6.7 square kilometers of mined and UXO-contaminated land across Israel over the past year, aiming to free territory for civilian use, commerce, and industry.
