Kerala’s Thrissur Pooram to go fireworks-free this year after blast; famed ‘Kudamattam’ to be scaled down

Authorities have decided to conduct this year's Thrissur Pooram without fireworks and significantly scale down Kudamattam, one of its most iconic elements. This decision was taken at a high-level meeting held at the Thrissur Collectorate, attended by Ministers, MPs, elected representatives, and Devaswom officials.
