The 28th match of the ongoing TATA Indian Premier League 2026 (TATA IPL 2026) will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday, April 19. This KKR vs RR clash will be held at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, starting at 3:30 PM IST.

This is the meeting of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing IPL 2026. However, both teams have different rides so far this season, with RR winning four straight games while KKR have not yet opened their account despite playing six matches.

Presently, KKR is sitting at the bottom of the IPL 2026 points table with only one point that they got from a washed-out game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Kolkata. On the other hand, RR is sitting third on the table with eight points from five games and a positive net run rate.

Kolkata Knight Riders have been badly struggling, and they are still searching for their first win of this season. Nothing is going their way; from batting to bowling and fielding, they fall flat. But their early batting collapse and inconsistent bowling allowed GT to chase down the 181-run target easily. KKR must be hoping Green carries his form to this game against RR in Kolkata. Rovman Powell, Tim Seifert, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi will also be hoping to contribute in a big way, while Varun Chakravarthy aims to trouble RR batters after showing glimpses of his form against GT.

On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals are coming into this IPL 2026 clash after their crushing 57-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In that match, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dismissed for a duck, and now he aims to make up for it against the KKR.

Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira would love to continue their batting brilliance while Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi, and Sandeep Sharma continue to hold the key for RR against KKR.

Kolkata Knight Riders have a slight advantage over Rajasthan Royals in head-to-head records. KKR has won 16 out of 32 games, while RR has won 14, with two matches ending with no result. In their previous meeting, KKR defeated RR by 8 wickets in Guwahati.
