Koyilandy harbour project remains incomplete
Even 20 months after the launch of the second-phase development of the Koyilandy fishing harbour, the project remains incomplete, failing to fully address the needs of fishermen.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), administrative sanction has been granted for ₹20.90 crore for various works in the second phase of the harbour development and ₹5.88 crore for dredging. The project cost is shared between the Union and State governments in a 60:40 ratio.
