Kuwait protests after it says Iran's guard targeted island in May

Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian ambassador and handed him a protest note after accusing Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of being behind a failed attack on a Kuwaiti island. The Interior Ministry said six armed men approached the island of Bubiyan in a fishing boat on behalf of the IRGC, but four were arrested and admitted being IRGC members. Iran's Foreign Ministry denied the allegations, stating the men strayed into Kuwaiti waters due to a navigation system malfunction.
