Liberman warns Netanyahu could launch military op. for election purposes, amid coalition crisis

Yisrael Beytenu leader MK Avigdor Liberman expressed concern that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may initiate a military operation for election purposes. Liberman made the remarks during a visit to a southern community bordering Gaza that was attacked by Hamas terrorists. He stated that military officials also bear responsibility for preventing such an operation. Liberman warned that Hamas is rearming in Gaza due to Israel's failure to eliminate the terror group in previous rounds of war. He hopes for an election soon, possibly in September, to send the current government home.
