Long-sought mission achieved, says PM Modi as BJP ends Mamata rule in West Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) landmark win in West Bengal, calling it a historic day. The BJP was leading or winning in 205 of the 293 seats where counting of votes was taking place. PM Modi thanked BJP leaders and workers for the landslide victory, saying the Lotus has bloomed once again. The BJP secured wins in West Bengal, Assam, and the Union territory of Puducherry, with a historic 93 per cent voting percentage recorded in the assembly elections.
