Maize, jowar produce drenched due to unseasonal rains in Adilabad

Unseasonal rains accompanied by gusty winds damaged maize and jowar produce across Adilabad district, leaving farmers distressed. Crops transported to local markets and stored on farm platforms were drenched, while jowar produce kept at a market yard in Jainath mandal was damaged, resulting in losses to growers. Similar damage to farm produce was witnessed in Nirmal and Mancherial districts, with the quantum of loss yet to be assessed.
