Manipur forces begin rescue ops after civilians abducted in Kuki-Naga clashes

Security forces in Manipur have initiated operations to rescue hostages held captive by Kuki and Naga groups. The hostage crisis started after unknown persons killed four civilians, including three leaders of the Thadou Baptist Association and a Naga man. Over 28 individuals, 14 from each community, were initially held captive, with 28 being released on May 15. The remaining hostages are still being held by the respective groups, with family members appealing for their safe release.
