Manipur violence: Church leaders gunned down in suspected militant attack in Kangpokpi; civilian killed in Noney

Suspected militants gunned down three church leaders and injured four others in Kangpokpi district, while a civilian was killed and his wife wounded in Noney district. The incidents occurred in Kangpokpi and Noney districts, where members of the Thadou Baptist Association were returning from a religious congregation. Police said the church leaders were ambushed by suspected militants while travelling in two vehicles. The state government has assured to bear all medical expenses for the injured and ensure they receive the highest standard of care.
