Manjeshwaram 2026: K. Surendran eyes comeback in key Kerala battle

K Surendran, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala, is contesting the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections from Manjeshwaram in Kasaragod district. He aims to overturn his previous defeats in the constituency, which was won by A. K. M. Ashraf of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in the 2021 Assembly elections by a margin of 845 votes. Surendran has a strong organisational base in Kerala, having risen through the party ranks by taking on key responsibilities and spearheading campaigns across the state.
