Michael, a crime thriller movie, collected Rs. 20 crore in its opening weekend in India, making it the biggest opening and grosses for a Hollywood music-based film. The movie performed well in South India and Mumbai, where Michael Jackson was popular, and collected over 60 per cent of its total collections from the three South Indian circuits. It also received a good amount of walk-up business over the weekend, showcasing a positive trend.
