Microsoft and OpenAI’s famed AGI agreement is dead

Microsoft has announced changes to its long-standing deal with OpenAI, allowing the latter to serve its products to customers across any cloud provider, including Amazon or Google. Microsoft will remain OpenAI's primary cloud partner, but the revenue-sharing agreement has been altered, with payments continuing until 2030 and subject to a total cap. The "AGI clause" has been dropped, removing conditions tied to the achievement of artificial general intelligence.
