Monsoon advances into Karnataka, may reach Mumbai by June 15

The Southwest Monsoon has advanced till Karnataka and is expected to bring rain up to the Mumbai coastline. Weather conditions remain favourable for the further advance of the monsoon. Widespread rainfall activity is forecast over Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep for the next 2-3 days. Moisture-laden monsoon winds are strengthening, leading to active rainfall in Kerala. Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected in central and east India, while intermittent rain and gusty winds are forecast in several areas.
