Nearly 1,000 waterlogging hotspots identified across Hyderabad ahead of monsoon

GHMC, CMC, and MMC have identified nearly 1,000 waterlogging hotspots across Hyderabad as part of monsoon preparedness. These hotspots include 200 locations in MMC, 300 in CMC, and around 550 within GHMC limits. Despite annual mitigation efforts, authorities have yet to find a long-term solution to recurring flooding points. A local initiative to clear waterlogging during rains is taken up every year, but a permanent solution continues to elude.
