Netherlands request European assistance to contain wildfires

Firefighters from Germany, Belgium, and France have been deployed to the Netherlands to assist in containing fires on military training grounds. This marks the first time the Netherlands has requested foreign assistance for combating wildfires. Firefighting efforts are being hampered by severe drought and high temperatures, with the cause of the fires remaining unclear. No one has been harmed and there is no risk to the population at present.
