Noida airport to begin operations from June 15

Noida International Airport is set to begin operations from June 15. The airport, located in Jewar in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar district, is expected to ease congestion at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Budget carrier IndiGo will operate the first passenger flight, followed by Akasa Air and Air India Express. Initial domestic routes under discussion include Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata, while international services are expected to begin a few months after domestic operations stabilise.
