Only two third-gender candidates contested in recent Assembly elections

Third-gender candidates contesting in Kerala and Tamil Nadu Assembly elections forfeited their deposits. Voter participation among third-gender electors was notable in Puducherry and West Bengal, as per Election Commission of India data.
