Pakistan’s first Chinese submarine set to boost naval capability

Pakistan has commissioned its first advanced Chinese submarine, Hangor, in the Chinese city of Sanya. The diesel-electric submarine is an export variant of China's 039A Yuan-class submarines and is equipped with advanced sensors, torpedoes, and anti-ship cruise missiles. The commissioning marks a significant step in strengthening Pakistan's maritime capabilities and deepening defense cooperation with China. The submarine is part of a deal for eight Chinese submarines, with four to be built in China and four in Pakistan under a technology-transfer agreement.
