Palestine Action activists in UK jailed for factory ‘terror’ raid

Protesters are detained by police outside Woolwich Crown Court during a hearing where Palestine Action activists were sentenced over a break-in at the UK base of an Israel-based defence firm, Elbit Systems site. The activists caused £1.2 million of damage and left a police officer with a fractured spine during the raid. A judge ruled that the raid amounted to an "act of terrorism" and the defendants will serve at least two-thirds of their sentences before facing Parole Board hearings for release from prison.
