Palestine Action activists jailed over factory raid

Four Palestine Action activists have been convicted of criminal damage and jailed for their involvement in a violent clash at an Israel-based defence firm's UK site. The activists broke into the Elbit Systems factory near Bristol, causing £1.2m worth of damage, and fractured a police officer's spine. They were sentenced as terrorists, a legal first in the UK, and will not qualify for early release from prison provisions. The Parole Board will assess their risk to the public when determining their release.
