Palestinian President Abbas casts vote in decisive Fatah elections

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has cast his ballot in internal Fatah leadership elections held at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah. The elections are taking place at the Ahmad Shuqairi Hall and aim to elect leaders for the movement's Central Committee and Revolutionary Council. The congress is Fatah's highest decision-making body, with nearly 2,580 members participating across four locations. The result of the Eighth General Conference of Fatah is scheduled to be announced on Saturday evening.
