Parliament special sitting LIVE: Bills to implement women's reservation and delimitation to be tabled in Lok Sabha today

The Budget Session is expected to deliberate on a legislative package comprising three key bills - the Constitution (131st) Amendment Bill, the Delimitation Bill, 2026, and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026. These bills aim to expedite the implementation of 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. The draft proposals also envisage increasing the Lok Sabha's strength to up to 850 seats and expanding State Assemblies to accommodate women's reservation.
