Passenger jumps off Air Arabia aircraft after landing at Chennai airport during taxiing

A passenger opened an emergency exit and jumped off an Air Arabia aircraft after landing in Chennai, triggering a temporary shutdown of the airport's main runway as a safety precaution. The incident occurred on a taxiway one minute after touchdown, and airport authorities closed the main runway at 3.25 am. The aircraft was towed away at 4.25 am, and runway operations resumed at 4.35 am. Some flights were diverted or delayed, including a British Airways flight from London, which was diverted to Bengaluru.
