Tilak Varma, a 23-year-old middle-order batter, scored a century for the Mumbai Indians against the Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He remained unbeaten after facing 45 balls and smashed eight 4s and seven 6s, with a strike rate of 224.44. Varma's century helped MI score 199 in 20 overs, and he forced the GT bowler Prasidh Krishna to leak 20 runs in the final over of the first innings.
