'Please help, please, all crew Indian': SOS call as ship, trying to cross Hormuz, hit by US missile

An Indian-crewed oil tanker, MT Marivex, has been struck by a US missile off the coast of Oman. The crew reported a fire, flooding, and feared the ship was sinking. A distress call revealed panic aboard the vessel as sailors pleaded for immediate assistance, stating all 24 crew members were Indian nationals. The US military disabled the tanker for allegedly breaching a blockade on Iranian ports, and the vessel was unladen at the time of the strike.
