Police probing alleged hate crimes at major London protests

London's Metropolitan Police is investigating alleged hate crimes at two major protests held in the British capital. A total of 43 arrests were made, with 20 linked to the Unite the Kingdom protest and 12 to the Nakba Day rally. Four officers were assaulted and six were subjected to hate crime offences. There were 11 hate crime related offences, including those motivated by race, religion, sexuality and disability. Three arrests were made as a result of live facial recognition, all of whom were wanted for failing to appear at court.
