Pro-Khalistan slogans, Bhinderanwale posters raised in Golden Temple Complex on Blue Star anniversary

Pro-Khalistan slogans and posters of Jarnail Singh Bhinderanwale were raised inside the Golden Temple Complex in Amritsar on the anniversary of Operation Blue Star. The event saw protestors gathering in front of the Akal Takht, the Supreme temporal and spiritual seat in Sikhism. A comprehensive security grid had been established across Amritsar and its surrounding areas to maintain security and law and order. Police personnel, including 5 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces, were stationed within the city limits to bolster the existing police presence.
