A. Namassivayam, Puducherry's home minister and minister for sports & youth affairs, is seeking another term from the Mannadipet seat in the 2026 polls. He currently represents Mannadipet in the Puducherry legislative assembly and has a diploma in civil engineering. Namassivayam won from Mannadipet in 2021 and later contested from the Puducherry Lok Sabha constituency in 2024 as a BJP candidate. He is fielded from Mannadipet constituency as part of the NDA alliance's seat-sharing arrangement for the 2026 assembly elections.
