Punjab anti-sacrilege law a pol conspiracy: SGPC head in U-turn

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami has called the recently enacted anti-sacrilege Act a "political conspiracy challenging Guru Granth and Guru Panth". Dhami made these remarks after earlier welcoming the Act as a "positive development". The SGPC chief stated that the law interferes with Sikh institutions and creates doubts among the Sikh community, and that the government's intention is evident from the Act not being available in Punjabi in a Punjabi-speaking state.
