QR codes for animals, multi-layered grid: Amit Shah orders hi-tech security for Amarnath Yatra

Union Home Minister reviews security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra. The pilgrimage, which starts on July 3 and concludes on August 28, will have a multi-layered security grid along the route. Central agencies have been asked to work in close coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police to put in place a foolproof security system. Drones, CCTV cameras, and other modern technologies will be used to strengthen existing arrangements. Essential services for pilgrims, including registration, accommodation, and health services, will be ensured.
