Rupee hits fresh all-time low of 96.25 against US dollar amid oil price surge

The Indian rupee has hit a fresh all-time low of 96.25 against the US dollar in early trade, amid soaring crude oil prices, geopolitical tensions, and a stronger dollar. Elevated crude oil prices, global uncertainty, and a stronger US dollar have created a difficult environment for emerging market currencies, with the rupee reflecting this stress. The rupee opened at 96.19 and fell further to 96.25 against the US dollar, registering a fall of 44 paise from its previous close.
