SC slams ‘nasty’ Registry for not issuing notice to ED, says officials think they are ‘super CJI’

The Supreme Court has rebuked its own Registry, terming its conduct "nasty" and saying its officials think they are acting as "super Chief Justice of India". The court made the observation while hearing a bail plea, noting that the Registry officials had not issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate despite an order to do so. The court has ordered a fact-finding inquiry into the matter and directed the Registry to serve notice to the Directorate of Enforcement.
