‘Soul Patrol’ Takes Top Doc Honor at 28th Annual Sarasota Film Festival

J.M. Harper's documentary "Soul Patrol" won the top nonfiction honor at the Sarasota Film Festival. The film, about the first all-Black special forces unit in the Vietnam War, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Despite critical acclaim, "Soul Patrol" is still seeking distribution. The film's sales agent, Submarine's Josh Braun, says festivals like Sarasota are important for films that haven't found a distributor yet.
